Ruby Rose had met Weiss Schnee on the first day of school at Beacon Academy. She didn't really think too much about it at first, since she almost blew them both up on accident. Weiss Schnee was not at all impressed with her first impressions of Ruby Rose. Not knowing that they would eventually become teammates, she decided to ignore her. But passion is stronger than either of them.

Last year, Sayaka's screw-up meant her football team lost the final to Mitaki Prep, captained by the infamous Striker, Kyoko Sakura. This year, the Centerback refuses to make the same mistake.
