Hello! My pen name is Jenna Black, something I came up with when I was 12 and has been with me now for over 15 years.

I am a very busy somewhat stay at home mom to three young boys (6, 3.5, and1 as of Oct 2015), and my husband and I run our own business. This account had foundered for years, before I got back to it, and then unfortunately put it on the back burner as real life reared its sometimes beautiful (children! husband!) sometimes awful (dementia! car accidents! cancer!) head. I have strong opinions about many things, and have a tendency to pair characters in a way that is not at all canon, though now I do my best to make it as believable and realistic as possible. I am a fan of the old school fade out when it comes to romantic situations; though my stories may be M it is more for blood and gore than sexuality.

I have been on an extended hiatus as the craziness I mentioned reared several of it's heads at the same time. I am hoping to write longer stories and return to my currently paused story; right now though, I am just taking what inspiration I have and going with it. Generally this means writing pairings and/universes I have never dallied in before.

I have many old stories that I wrote as a teen, I debated deleting some of them, but cannot bring myself to do it - they are a record of my past, and something that, while not to a level I totally appreciate, something to be proud of. Though as I have been reading them, they feel like strangers to me - all I can say is I was a very twisted teen apparently. They are as follows:

Harry Potter: Hermione's Letters (and the continuation), This is Who I Am, With a Kiss, No Tears, Flowers in the NightTime, What the Future Holds, How Times Can Change, Inner Conversations, Spiral Downward Thoughts, Snapshots, and Costing Not Less than Anything (my personal favorite)

Buffy/Angel: What These Eyes Have Seen, After the End, A Perfect Night, and Musings on a Lost Time

Bones: Inner Conversations: This was a challenge I gave myself to see if I could capture Bones personality. I don't connect with these characters normally and wanted to try to grow myself a little.

Many of these stories are fraught with errors, and formatting issues stemming back to the age they were written. I may go back to fix those problems, but my time in these universes are over with.

Current Stories.

Winters Warmth: My first visit into the Walking Dead landscape. Not technically a WIP, as this portion of it is entirely done, but I am working on a story that brings us up to this point in the characters lives. I already have something like 20 chapters planned out, I just have to get the time to write it! edit 12/30: The story companion (or precursor) is called Breakaway.

Breakaway: Originally planned as a prequel to Winters Warmth, it has taken on a life of its own and evolved into it's own individual being. At this point it is at a satisfying pause point, that equally serves as an ending if something were to happen and I were to never go back... it's become something of an epic, and will be picked up again when I am ready to devote the time it needs.
