This story begins right after Kate and Rachel recover the antidote in Dreamworld. It will fill in some gaps in the Castle saga and become more AU as it goes along. The cover is a picture I took of an original that Artifex Prime sent me for Christmas a couple of years ago.

This is a continuation of my AU story, Ian. In it, Castle had married Kyra, not Meredith. They had a son Ian, but Kyra died when he was an infant. That strongly impacted Castle's personality. Goes off canon after 8x02. When Rick lands in the hospital after a traffic accident, he reminds Kate that anything can happen. "The best way to keep me safe, Kate, is to keep me close. Back to back, watching each other's six." Even while they're watching, they're racing to solve the puzzle of LokSat and Rick's lost summer.

Beckett overhears Castle telling Demming that there's no flag on the play, which comes on top of an unsuccessful stay at the loft and a case which reopens a less-than-pleasant time in her past. AU of the second half of S2. Please see warning inside.

This is Castle future history that takes place after Life Goes On and Distress from the Dungeons, in the same universe. If you haven't read Life Goes On, you've missed the 7 years that precedes this. They have the kids and the life shown in the final seconds of Castle S8. Of course I own nothing Castle.

This is an AU story set in 2009. Richard Castle is engaged to marry a well-know Public Defender. During a TV interview he offers an opinion which puts him at odds with his friend the Mayor. As a result he agrees to work with the 12th Precinct where he meets their best detective, Kate Beckett and her team. His life quickly becomes, complicated.

"It doesn't matter, though, does it? The fact is I'm no closer to figuring out who's hurting Castle or why he's allowing it." Beckett notices some disturbing changes in her partner after her return to the 12th. An AU set early in Season 4 after Rise.

This story begins when Kate and Rick are lying bleeding on the floor and holding hands in Ep 8-22. It is meant to fill in the seven year gap left by the writers. The pair end up working together. Fate intervenes in this multi-chapter story.

Post-Ep for '47 Seconds'. "I need a word with you." Castle's voice cuts through the hubbub of the bullpen even though he has it purposefully toned low. Low and rough, scraping at his vocal cords with a touch of something dark and smoky that tugs at Kate's gut, exciting and scaring her in equal measure.

Starts at a scene from "Recoil" that I'd missed the first time I saw it. Gates overhears Beckett trying to get a confession, and telling the suspect what Bracken has done to her. Story starts there, and wanders into AU. Uses a couple of deleted scenes found on the S5 DVD's. Romance, drama, family, angst, fluff, etc. in varying degrees.

AU It started with a visit to her father in the rehab facility. Kate never expected it to lead to time away with Richard Castle and his family in the Hamptons.

A/U It's definitely not love at first sight. Prickly, aloof and strait-laced Kate Beckett isn't what Rick expected when he hires someone to protect a young Alexis. She's all business while he's all about the play. Shallow, irresponsible and a playboy is how Beckett would characterize her latest employer. But sometimes first impressions can turn out to be wrong.
