Journey into Mystery is a rousing second season adventure with fast paced action and atmospheric tension necessary for a story of this calibre. A rebel group from the planet Lento board the Liberator on Blake's initiative. Mysterious accidents follow upon their arrival and the eventual result is a quick moving pageant of mayhem, intrigue and confrontation.

On the planet Delphos, Avon takes a poison dart meant for Blake. Blake has to rush to find the antidote while at the same time help a people defend themselves against a possible Federation invasion. He is horrified to learn that an old friend he trusted is not who he thought he was, and that it is possible that no antidote for the poison exists.
