Hi everyone! 17 August 2019 Hello everyone. I've finished another one-shot called Last Mech Standing, and am posting a chapter a day until all 8 chapters are up. I wrote it in the span of a few days, while I was halfway through writing Episode 5 of Rise of the Decepticons: Imbalance of Power, which I am now going back to finish. The idea for Last Mech Standing, if you want to know, was distracting me so I had to get it out of my head. So it goes something like this: What would happen if I took two diametrically different characters (Starscream and Scavenger) and put them in a situation together... that forced them to play a deadly game... against a bunch of other strange or dangerous characters... and with no obvious way of escape... in a race against time? How would the two Heroic Decepticons deal with such a situation? I originally intended for it to be more of a horror, but it didn't turn out quite that way. Still, it contains plenty of violence and psychotic characters doing psychotic things. Essentially, it's a psychological thriller, and yes it is the darkest fic I have written thus far. But please don't worry if it isn't your thing - it doesn't mean that my writing style has changed or become darker or anything like that... nah. I'm still perfectly capable of writing fluffier stuff. I just felt like taking a temporary detour, and delving into something a bit more "adult" this time. As a fan fiction writer, I like to explore all genres and experiment with different themes and styles, after all. However, if you would like me to write more horror/thrillers for the Heroic Decepticons, please don't hesitate to let me know. Oh, and besides, who doesn't want to hear Starscream use the f word and other human expletives freely? Well, I think it's fun to let him swear, anyway. :D On the opposite end of the scale, Imbalance of Power is an important episode in helping to establish the reasons behind much of the events that occur in later episodes and series for the Heroic Decepticons, in particular it provides some essential groundwork for the basis of the wars that will be fought against the Autobots later on, including the Great Wars that will take place after the series Rise of the Decepticons ends. This episode offers a number of important insights into the political and economic climate of the time, and correlates the seemingly unrelated energy crisis and resulting planet-wide shutdown with the imbalance of power and corruption that exists among Cybertron’s ruling elite. It is due to be published sometime next week, so look out for it and don’t forget to let me know what you all think. 14 June 2019 FYI: I have signed up as an author on Royal Road, where I am posting Transformers: Heroes as a fan fiction web novel. Speaking of said story, it's a little later than I had hoped but Chapter 17 will be finished next week. Four months has already gone by since the last chapter, wow. Better get busy... 9 June 2019 I am currently working on Chapter 17 of Heroes, which I aim to have completed and posted sometime late next week or early into the next. I hope you all liked The Spark Trap, which is my latest one shot - oh, and by the way if you think you have a great idea on what might happen next and would like to actually write a sequel for it, please let me know and if your version is in alignment with the Heroic Decepticons guidelines (must be stated) then I will credit you as the author. Thank you greatly to both Starfire201 and Angry Archer for adding this story to their C2 community collection. I am most humbled. 16 April 2019 Sometimes when a story or an idea doesn't flow, it wasn't meant to be. I've decided to drop the G1 meets the Heroic Decepticons Universe idea completely, and I'll probably never revisit it again. It just isn't meant to be. The good news is that now I get to start working on a completely new story, before I get back to the next chapter of Heroes. Stories Please Note: ALL of my stories (including series, arcs and one-shots) are set in one of the alternative universes that form part of my Heroic Decepticon multiverse. These continuities contain many G1 (specifically US cartoon Seasons 1 to 3 but not exclusively) elements and most (but not all!) of the character profiles are modified from their basic G1 canon profiles - but this is where the similarities end). The Heroic Decepticon multiverse is not based upon the Shattered Glass universe. In basic terms, it is like the normal G1 canon universe but the main Decepticons are heroic and not evil. Which is not to say that the Autobots, as a whole, are made to be the antagonists, but I think that it's high time the Decepticons got a break. While G1 is my preferred canonical 'verse, my stories are in a 'verse of their own and don't follow canon (obviously). While it is possible to tie the Heroic Decepticon Multiverse into G1 canon by filling in the gaps and providing an alternate explanation for some critical canonical events that wouldn't necessarily contradict the established mythos, I am reluctant to explore this avenue because it would be a bit of a stretch and I don't really like the direction the stories would have to take in order to achieve such a tie-in. Transformers: Heroes Inspired by, well, the axed Heroes, and also Lost. Not the story lines or characters (it's not a Crossover) but in the way those shows were presented, with particular emphasis on suspense, action, drama, and the inclusion of character secrets/back stories, all while revealing the final plot bit by bit. I really enjoyed those shows so I thought I'd try my hand at a similar writing style/made-for-TV presentation for this Transformers epic. This is an ongoing saga, aimed at an adult audience. It is fairly complex (and long). It aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. I may organize it later on into a number of Arcs, to make it easier to read or follow before it gets impossibly long. Or I may finalise it, who knows. We'll see. Transformers: Rise of the Decepticons (Series) Self-contained episodes, pre-Great War era. Classic style, written for translation into "television episodes". Genre: Adventure/Friendship. (Episode names and synopses may change for stories not yet complete.) Episode 0: Prequel: Origins AU retelling, Decepticon-centric. In this pilot episode, we discover how and why the Decepticons came into being. Complete. Episode 1: The Nemesis Army Part 1 Sentinel Prime takes a promising student under his wing, while Lord Straxus sends his new army to invade Iacon. Complete. Episode 2: The Nemesis Army Part 2 The Nemesis Army continues to invade Iacon. Complete Episode 3: The Nemesis Army Part 3 Now in control of the Nemesis Army, Nemesis Prime is determined to fulfil his destiny and rule Cybertron. Complete. Episode 4: Return of the Stunticons Motormaster returns to lead the Stunticons after Blackjack betrays the Decepticons. Complete. Episode 5: Imbalance of Power During an imminent planetwide shutdown due to critical energy levels, the Decepticons develop a new method of energy production and storage. To be completed. Misc A collection of stories, profiles (check my blog for RPG based character profiles!), narratives and one-shots based upon various Autobots and Decepticons. Crossovers with Knight Rider and Star Trek a future possibility. On Reviews and Favoriting... I would like to extend my sincerest thank you to all those who have provided feedback to any of my stories, have favorited them, and/or are interested in following them. Please be assured that every fave and/or review is most appreciated with heartfelt thanks. RPG-ing or collaborative fics - Expressions of Interest I have administered a few Transformers RPGs before, but would now like to start over. So, if you would like to participate in an online RPG (story-based, forum) based upon the Heroic Decepticons Universe please message me with your interest and the role that you would like to play. The RPG will include official combat scenarios based upon your characters' tech specs and profiles. Some canon characters are reserved. OCs are welcome. Good writing skills are required. Beginners are welcome, so if you have absolutely no experience with RPG-ing in this style but are willing to give it a serious shot, I'll be happy to guide you through the process, step by step. We'll need at least three other players for an official launch. Guaranteed to be a lot of fun, but you must be available to post regularly. If you have an idea for a collaborative story that would fit into the Heroic Decepticons universe, then please let me know. If you've never done one of these before, they basically involve two or more authors who take turns writing individual paragraphs, scenes, or entire chapters. Similar to the RPG, each writer would be mainly responsible for one or more assigned characters. Requests I do consider requests for one-shots, and/or spin offs, Transformers only. PM me with your suggestions and if I can write it into the Heroic Decepticons AU, I will credit you in the story notes. What I will accept: - Any genre, any audience, any format. - Any character/s perspective whether they be Autobot, Decepticon, canon or OC. What I won't accept: - Anything too far removed from the Heroic Decepticons perspective. - Pairings based on romance or sex of any kind for the main Heroic Decepticons. - Strongly antagonistic Decepticon themes What if God was one of us? Just a slob like one of us? Just a stranger on the bus Trying to make His way home? (Joan Osborne, "One of Us") Your session has timed out... Thank you for using Deceptitraan II. Have a great day. |
