Hello, my name is Michiru - I'm a twenty-two year old girl residing in the Houston, TX area. I've been writing fanfiction since I was a child, and reading it ever since I became an avid user of the internet years (and years) ago. I'm primarily interested in manga and anime fanfiction, although I occasionally read fiction based on books/television/games, as well. I have a particular taste for slash. :)

Story Updates:

12/07/07: I took down Valentine, my Ocean Girl fanfic. I wasn't happy with it, and I certainly feel that I have outgrown it. I am very thankful to the few that left such kind, positive comments. They were much appreciated!

Thoughts on some of my favorite pairings:

Haruka/Michiru (Sailormoon) As long as I am interested in manga and anime, I will probably regard this pairing as a favorite, just as I still consider Kaiou Michiru a favorite character. It has been years since I've actually had any real interest in the series itself, but Michiru and Haruka still = much love. I love the subtly flirtatious and gently teasing nature of this relationship. I actually find this pairing the easiest to write fanfiction for - most likely because I have been familiar with them the longest - but I haven't read fanfics about them in years.

Kurogane/Fay (Tsubasa) - I adored these two from the get go, both as individual characters and as a pairing, and four years later, they're still my OTP~ =D What is most enjoyable about Kurogane and Fay is watching them grow stronger together - and because of each other - as the series progresses. Both characters have changed so much from who they were in the beginning, and while some people seem to be disappointed by this (because, yes, they were quite amusing in the earlier volumes), I feel that it is an interesting and necessary development in the story. Although I had a bit of doubt in the beginning, I am now fully convinced that they will become a canon pairing.

Currently, most of the fanfiction I read is KuroFay related. :)

Doumeki/Watanuki (xxxHOLiC) - This is a recent favorite... actually, I'm somewhat new to the series, as well. Since I'm a bit bored with what is happening in the current chapters of the Tsubasa manga, and I've been rather curious about the appeal of xxxHOLiC (I had read a couple volumes and watched a few episodes previously, but it didn't really keep my interest), I decided to give it another try. I'm really glad that I did. I'm drawn to this pairing because, like Kurogane and Fay, they are so completely different from each other that it makes the interaction between them very amusing. Also, it is just interesting to watch how they adapt and become so strongly attached to each other as time passes. The sacrifices that Doumeki has made and continues to make in order to keep Watanuki safe are endearing, and it seems that Watanuki has finally come to a point where he can accept that Doumeki is a very important person to him.
