Modern AU. When Hiccup's wife Astrid was expecting their first child, he knew there would be many challenges coming their way. He just didn't expect Astrid to turn into a thief.

Hiccup is worn out. He's been trying to be a good chief for Berk after his father, but other the other chiefs aren't exactly helping. So, Hiccup and Toothless decide to take a break, and journey around the Archipelago one last time. In the process, they discover something, or rather, someone, frozen for over 300 years, who holds the knowledge to stop a threat from another era.

Hiccup didn't see the point in stopping Astrid as she ran off towards his village—towards his father—with his most desperately protected secret. He was leaving anyway. A coming-of-age tale. Deviates from movie. Borderline bromantic-comedy.
