Bonjour to all of you who have decided to visit my humble author profile page thing. I’m female, I was born in the last century, and that’s probably all you really need to know about me personally. Mostly, this is just to tell you about the type of stuff I am writing about or I am likely to write about (It I ever finish The Incentive).

The Labyrinth

I am very much a Jareth/Sarah pairing person, that’s what I look for, and that’s what I enjoy.

As of now, I’m working on 2 different fan fictions under the Labyrinth fandom. At the moment, The Incentive is getting the priority (sorry Labyrinth Academyfans) just because I’m so close to finishing it that I want to get it done.

The Incentive

The Incentive covers the story of the idea that Jareth finds out he is engaged to a woman due to an arranged marriage just after he discovers that he actually likes Sarah. What follows is a very crazy set of adventures that occasionally borders on serious issues (family acceptance, how to make a relationship work, the price of immortality) as Jareth and his fiancé (Mara) both try to find a way to get out of it.

My own feelings on the fanfiction:

I will start off by saying that I find The Incentive to be very near and dear to my heart – I have been working on it for four years, and I am anxious to get to the end. My plan is to finish it by summer at the latest (which hopefully means I’ll be better at updating). After that, I hope to do a revision of the whole thing, fixing up various problems:

I personally find some problems with Mara at the beginning when she comes a bit close to becoming a Mary Sue. For those of you who haven’t read it yet, I beg you please hold out to about chapter five or six, when Mara begins to develop something of a personality, and not a perfect, self centered elf.

There are a few plot holes scattered throughout: I’ve found Mara telling different versions of what happens to kidnapped babies and either Andrew or Tom almost developing a crush on Mara that is quickly forgotten. I plan on definitely going more into the background of Mara, Garith, Jareth and Sarah. Also, more Jareth/Sarah development, and Mara’s hang ups with Nomar (I don’t think I really addressed them that well).

So, that means, that if anyone has any constructive criticism, it would be much appreciated.

The Labyrinth Academy

I would suggest that anyone who reads this look at Miss Cam’s version of the Official Fanfiction University of Middle Earth if they want to get a general idea of this universe, though that’s not required. This story is one of the official branch offs of the story, where the characters of the Labyrinth decide that they no longer feel like dealing with bad, clichéd fanfiction and decide to take matters into their own hands. Of course, chaos ensues. Mostly this fic focuses on a girl named Ami as she tries to survive the Academy, though it does look at the lives of the staff as well.

The fun thing about this fic is that is possible to become enrolled at the school. A sample application is given in the first chapter that just needs to be sent to me by e-mail (not review, since fanfiction.net has a policy with interactive fics). I think I have about 50 at the moment – I’m working on organizing everything. Of course, the more creative the better. I like laughing while reading this stuff.

Also, if anyone can think of clichés that annoy them, common misspellings of names, or anything along that line let me know.

I will note that while I am working on a chapter, I am going to be focusing more on The Incentive until that is finished.

As I said earlier, I love reviews. Makes me insanely happy. Constructive criticism is always appreciated (just no flames), especially with The Incentive as I work on trying to find ways to improve it as it is the longest thing I have ever written

Of course, generally fuffyness is always appreciated as well.

Current Updates:

The Incentive Chapter 25 is finally up. Attempting to write the next chapter, but with graduating from college, it's been a little difficult. I hope to finish this story, I really do. Growing up sometimes makes writing for fun difficult though. :-/

Labyrinth Academy Chapter 4 is up.

Also, finally, regarding Labyrinth Academy . . . there are some issues with the website . . . which I am hoping to fix over the summer, and I have posted all of the application submissions! So if you would like to see who the (54) students are, please check it out! Give me some imput . . send me more applications and whatnot. And I promise that LA shall get going again soon!
