Hi, I'm a young woman living in NYC, trying to find inspiration for my pen... *ponders the meaning of life*. I like to write a lot, as do my friends (currently, my friend Taylor is finishing up a novel called Ruqe which she is sending to a publisher next month!). I also enjoy watching movies, fanfiction, reading books, classical music, and punk rock. I like to sing opera (my favorite is probably "Carmen", but I enjoy both Rossini's and Benjamin Britten's music. I LOVE Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Harry Potter. I am writing some fanfiction for both of those that will be up shortly. I have an original story, up on fictionpress.com called "The Doll" under the same penname (Sulis Minerva).

Favorites:
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy/Angel rocks! And Spike/Willow. But Spuffy is not cool, and although I like Tara/Willow, Spike and Willow are so perfect! Dawn can be very annoying, but she's also cool. Anya is the best - queen of no tact (disregarding Cordelia).
- Angel the Series: Cordy is the coolest. And Angel is very cute and broody and sulky and pouty, and lots of other stuff... Wesley is so adorable in the first 2 seasons, but I love him even more in seasons 3.4. and 5. Fred and Gunn are both good characters, though Fred is bad when she likes Angel. Lorne is the greatest Sea-Breeze-loving-Karaoke-Bar-owning demon a person could know. And Connor is "salty goodness".
- Harry Potter - need I say more? I could probably ramble on and on and on and on about this. Go Harry/Hermione and Ginny/Draco. Ron/Hermione is okay, but Ginny/Harry - Urgh! Snarky!Draco, Smirking!Draco, Sneering!Draco, and Leather Trousers-Wearing!Draco - who can't get enough of him.
- "Memoirs of a Geisha" - The BEST book every (disregarding Harry Potter, and His Dark Materials Trilogy). Probably some of the only historical fiction I've ever really liked. They're making a movie of it, and I'm worried its going to be horrible...
- The His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman - This is probably the best developed, well-written, enjoyable and appealing fantasy novel for both adults and children. I heard the stage production in London was fab (I'm seeing it during spring break), and Philip Pullman is the nicest man on earth (I met him at a book signing at Barnes and Noble 3 years ago in New York). If you haven't read the books, I'm telling you to fork out the money, no matter how broke you are. READ THEM!!!!!!
- My Ancient History Class (sort of depressing, but my history teacher is a genius! We're learning stuff on Grad School level!)
- Latin and Greek - Ahh... The classics... They're so much fun, and I'm getting an A... :D Cogito ergo sum. And from Martial's epigrams: nuper erat medicus, nunc est vespillo Diaulus. quod vespillo facit, fecerat et medicus.
- Asterix and Obelix - funniest cartoon ever
-Monty Python
- Lord of the Rings - great movies, better books.

Dislikes:
- George W. Bush - Mr. Armadillo Face is stupid. 'Nuff said.
- Science - does anyone really care about the relation between subparticles and quantum physics (sorry, i like to rant. Science is my pet peeve. If anyone out there is a scientist, or likes science, sorry to offend.)
- Shelly Palmer
- Britney Spears - could she make herself more fake? I doubt it...

Toodles,
Sulis Minerva

A collection of shorts covering the school years of a group of Slytherin students at Hogwarts. Voldemort might not be their primary concern, but that doesn't guarantee carefree times in the powerplays of the House of the ambitious and cunning.
