My writing name is Raven Nolan, this is a pen name, not my real name. I used to write fanfics a few years ago and stoped as I didn't have time after having twins. They are now five and I am getting back into writing.

My favorite stories to write are sci-fi fanfic, and regular fiction. I have several stories in mind, but primarily they deal with women's issues and are often redemption stories. I am currently working at getting a web site to post them on, but most of my time is taken up with caring for my twins and work, and writing just comes when I can fit it in.

My favorite TV shows are Star Trek (TNG, Voyager, DS9), Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, ER, Firefly, Law and Order (this includes SVU and Criminal Intent), NYPD Blue, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, 24... well, you kind of get the picture of someone who likes sci-fi and crime stories.

My favorite Movies... Too Many To List! LOL! Ok, it's safe to say I love the entire Star Wars series, Alien series (except for the last movie), the X-Men series, Lord of the Rings (movies only), Serenity, and many more sci-fi movies. I also like alot of African American movies, historical movies, and other cultural movies, some comedies.

My favorite music is mostly R&B and Hip-hop, but I grew up on Classic Rock-n-roll and some country so I have rather ecclectic tastes that encompass everything.

My primary interests also come out in my writing, such as woman's issues ranging from slavery, sexual assualt, domestic violence, and child abuse; African American history, Civil Rights and Human Rights; Mental Health Issues and Rights; Sickle Cell Disease research and treatment, ancient history, Environmental studies; and various scientific studies.

Favorite actors, actresses, and musicians: Denzel Washington, Samuel Jackson, Johnny Dep, Gena Davis, Halle Berry, Harrison Ford, Alfre Woodard, Jada Pinket Smith, Will Smith, Prince, Aaliyah, TLC, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, and too many more.

Ok, that at least should give you an idea of what I'm like.
