The sequel to "the Plight of the Dwarves". In this episode, Thorin and company are finding life in Lake-town to be hard. The men of Lake-town are not welcoming and the company of Dwarves have many dangers to face.

Fíli is looking forward to the arrival of his new sibling. The day before his siblings birth however, a group of human children tell him the 'reason' for there being so few dwarfling's leading Fíli to make a drastic decision about his future.

When it snows, Fili and Kili often spend the day out playing in the snow, or ice skating on the secluded lake they discovered some years back. One day, however, the fun goes wrong, and the fact no one knows of the lakes location could become a very large problem for the brothers.
