![]() Author has written 10 stories for Queer as Folk, and Glee. Hi friends! I am a 30 year old female. I live in the South of the United States where I attended an all-women's college. I majored in English with a minor in Professional Writing and Presentation Media. I studied abroad in England and while there, I visited France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. I love traveling, shopping, scrapbooking and reading/writing fanfiction. I'm not really one for reading real books, which bothers me greatly, but it's something I plan on working on in time, especially considering I'm getting a Masters in Library and Information Science! My favorite color is green. I believe in equal human rights for ALL. I'm pretty laid back. I love to listen to soundtracks/original scores, classical, rock/alternative, pop and hip-hop. I was on a synchronized swimming team in college. I love cats. I love to put jigsaw puzzles together; the more difficult the puzzle the better. Apart from Harry Potter, Queer as Folk and Glee, I like Merlin, Being Human and House. Other than those, I don't tend to watch more television than that...but anything can happen. Now for my how-I-found-fanfiction story: I first came across fanfiction when I decided that reading the Harry Potter books just wasn't enough. I needed more, and that's how I found fanfiction. I found some on harrypotter.com, then I branched out to fanfiction.net when I found it. I've been writing a Harry Potter fanfiction since I was 15 years old. It will most likely never get finished, but it got me writing and it got me interested. Then I found ships and slash and lemon and realized there was a whole world out there I never knew existed. (SHIP: Sirius/Remus, Draco/Harry and Severitus) I came across Queer as Folk back in high school, in a Harry Potter video on YouTube. I was interested in it, but had no way of watching it. I then checked into it a little bit more in freshman year of college, but still had no way of watching it. A couple years later, I studied abroad in England and found what I was missing. Someone posted Queer as Folk in parts on YouTube and I stayed up for days watching it. It got to the point where I had to leave for spring break to go to London and Paris and I didn't want to go because I didn't want to leave my beloved QaF. (SHIP: Britin) As for Glee, that's my newest craze. I remember watching the previews for Glee back when it first came on. Seeing Mercedes sing Respect and Kurt sing Mr. Cellophane just made me want to shoot myself because I thought the show was just going to be another High School Musical - the show. How very wrong I was. I got into the show July 2012. I was house-sitting and had no password for the owner's internet. She had Netflix and BOOM! A fandom was born. It didn't take much. Mind you, the first 13 episodes were a little touch and go for me, but right after they won Sectionals I was totally on board. (SHIP: Klaine and Furt [NOT Kinn]) I read some fanfiction and their summaries, and began to think of ways that not only the show could go, but also how some people's fanfiction could go and it started to get me writing. I love it. I can't get enough of it. I have a flash drive specifically dedicated to it. I have word documents dedicated to my ideas and I have word documents called QAFstory1, GLEEstory18 and so on and so forth. I currently have 61 QaF stories thought up and 52 Glee stories as well. There are a few stories that are actually going to be multi-chaptered, but I would prefer to finish them before posting them because I don't wish to torture anyone. I know how it feels and it's a painful process to deal with, so I shall keep them to myself before posting the finished product. As for authors and stories that I have favorited, I love you all. You get me through the day and I thank you. Anyway, there's my story. I hope each of you are doing well in your lives and I can't WAIT to write some more and get it out there for you to read. It takes me a while because I want it to be as well-written as possible, so bare with me. I love you all! |
