My VAMB Secret Santa 2013 submission. A few months after Voyager's return from the Alpha Quadrant, Chakotay makes a plan. NC17/Mature. J/C.

When Voyager runs into a ship the Caretaker 'sent home' that didn't exactly arrive where it was supposed to, Kathryn is forced to reevaluate her guilt over stranding her ship in the DQ. And the fact that one of the people on that ship knows Chakotay, intimately, causes her to reevalute some things in her personal life as well.

He was at a turning point, as he had been so many times before, whether in battle at sea, or to protect the people he loved. There were truths to be acknowledged, decisions to be made, plans to formulate. Suddenly, he cared more about making her happy than he had cared about anything, not for a long time. He had only to be willing to change course. One-shot.

Nothing comes from nothing... The story of how the Captain fell in love with Maria, in the Captain's PoV from the 'Edelweiss' scene onwards.

"I just want to be yours again." Now complete! A few months after their return to the Alpha Quadrant, the Voyagers come together to assist one of their own. Chakotay and Janeway form an uneasy alliance as they find themselves stranded in the Delta Quadrant after Janeway's decision to destroy the array. Chakotay agrees to merge the crews and support her as Captain but will he?
