I am sorry if I offend anybody and I have a happier story coming up. So please don't judge me too much. I promise I'm not a bad person. I just wanted it to be emotional and heart wrenching.

In the wake of all out war - with Ezekiel dead and Morgan missing - The Kingdom needs a new leader. Caryl AU - Daryl and Carol are actors and The Walking Dead is the show they star in together. While in this AU the character's back story is different Daryl and Carol may have a lot of similarities with their characters - including a close friendship and a building affection for one another… as more than friends.

Taken by Negan, Daryl has to find a reason to go on when his guilt spiral threatens to drag him under. His thoughts before facing his death included moments of closeness with the family he made after the Turn. In his hour of greatest need, one very special person who has always believed in him appears, giving him hope.

Caryl find each other on the road during wintertime. ZA AU where Carol leaves the kingdom and strikes out on her own. She heads north. Implied that after losing everything Daryl tracks her down. They begin their life together and celebrate Christmas. It's pretty fluffy at the end.

Set in-between seasons 3 and 4, Daryl and Carol find themselves able to enjoy a few moments of respite together. Will be multi-chapter with some adult situations later on.

Meanwhile Daryl discovers that Merle is secretly trying to reel in an unsuspecting woman on the web and decides to intervene. When Daryl falls in too deep he goes to extremes to keep her away from his brother, and any other man. Ridiculousness ensues as Daryl sabotages everyone. Including himself.

Survival horror, backwoods style: A weekend vacation to a tiny lakeside cabin turns out to be more than Carol bargained for. When Ed feels especially bad about a fight he takes her there to make up for it, but this time they aren't the only ones roaming the woods. Faced with the real possibility of not surviving the trip Carol will have to make more than a few hard choices.

Carol witnesses Ed's murder and finds herself and her young daughter in the witness protection program. Her neighbor, Daryl, is there for more than just a cup of sugar.

The story takes place right after the S6 mid-season finale. The group is dealing with the outcome of the herd back at Alexandria while Daryl, Sasha and Abe are still on the road. A lot of Caryl and Richonne scenes along the way.

Starts at the beginning of season two. What would the rest of the show have been like if Daryl and Carol got together in season two?

Maybe he was insane, had finally snapped and taken a ride into crazy town, but he didn't care, he never felt more alive in his entire life. Some would say buying this house was a living nightmare but to him...it had been a godsend.
