Contest Rules

All entries must be ANONYMOUS. PLEASE DO NOT divulge any specifics of your story (unless it's to your beta, prereader, or the contest secret keeper in confidence), including the word count, and any other clues as to which entry could be yours.

Please do not post or continue your story anywhere until after the winners have been announced on March 28th. After, please feel free to continue your story into a full length fiction; although, the contest entry must stand alone.

Entries can be any genre, rating, AU, AH, canon, and non-canon pairings.

Entries MUST either take place in the Southern, USA and be about Valentine's Day. Entries that do not meet this criteria will not be accepted.

Entries must be new, original work of the submitting author; no continuations or adaptations. One submission per author, although one collaboration with another writer is permitted, the collaborators cannot submit another entry by themselves. (example: Tom and harry write a one shot and submit it, neither Tom or Harry can submit a story on their own)

Entries are not required to have a banner. Although banners are nice to have, to show the visualization of a story, they are not a necessity. Don't panic if you don't have the time to send one in with your entries!

Entries must be between 2,500 and 10,000 words. Anything over or under that will be send back for revision.

Entries must fit within the theme of the contest or they will be returned unposted. You may revise and resubmit as long as it does not violate the hard limits given.

Entries should be beta’d, as points are given for grammar, spelling and such. Please writing partners, use an outside Beta to Beta your work, do NOT use each other.

Entries shall be received starting on February 14th with the last entry being received no later than 11:59pm EST on March 21st. Any entries received after that will NOT accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Entries should be emailed to getursouthernon@gmail.com. Please use word doc format. Do not copy/paste your entry in the body of the email! Entries will be returned to submitting author if there are any concerns upon receipt of entry. If there are no concerns, entries will be posted on TWCS to be open to public reading.

Public Votes will take place on or blog once all officials have had their vote. The Blog can be found here:

Content Limitations: NO incest, bestiality, rape, Real person fiction, or pedophilia. Offending submissions will be disqualified upon receipt--no re-submissions will be allowed regardless of revisions
