28. Italian. Female. Not overly sociable.

I don't do creative writing. Never even tried unless I had to for school. I did decent in those cases, but it was always forced. I've never felt the stories flowing from my mind to a piece of paper -or my laptop display- naturally, so this profile will be only for reviewing...so of course no one will ever probably read it.
Still I want to write about myself, sue me.

I've been reading fanfictions since I was 13. They were probably the reason why I learnt English so willingly at school after I discovered how the Italian pool of choice wasn't even a fraction of the international/English one.
During the years I've shipped different fandoms (DBZ -my first anime obsession, HP, Artemis Fowl, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, The Last Airbender, Inuyasha, Bleach just to mention a few of them). Genre-wise romance it's always been one of my favourite and fantasy comes to a close second, but I can pretty much say that I can read and eventually enjoy any genre as long as it's well written.

I had my ups and downs of course. I tend to enter binge-reading phases and after a while I get tired of the same style and change. So I switch between original books, classics, fanfictions and fictionpress stories.

At the moment I just recently came back to reading fanfictions with a passion after years of just randomly checking them out once in a while quite by accident. One night after re-watching a couple of episodes of Hetalia (a series I had fun watching but had quite forgotten years ago) I got struck by the idea of looking for fan-created content, I ended up discovering quite a prolific fanfiction community and...here I am.

Why my account is so new if I've been reading fanfiction for so long? Well, I always tended to leave anonymous reviews, or no reviews at all back then. Nowadays I have more confidence in myself, so I made this account.

My view on reviews.
I believe that it's the duty of the readers to point out the less brilliant parts of a story if there are any...especially when a story has potential.
It means that I somewhat liked it. I may not have loved it, it may not be my favourite, but I read it through the end (or a good portion of it) and (up till then) found it worthy of my time. I generally don't write reviews for story I don't like at all, because I stop reading before actually forming a good enough opinion to write a proper review.
So to sum it up: your story is written basically well, the narration is not stinted and there aren't huge plot-holes or childish clichés all over the place.
What you can expect: honesty first of all. I stopped writing pointlessly positive ones just to make authors happy years ago. I think I have quite some experience as reader, of both 'proper' books and fanfictions; it may sound arrogant, but that's what I think. I also won't insult you or criticize you just because you forgot to mention my favourite pairing or characters or scene or whatever and I won't be 'fangirling' with 'KYAs', 'KAWAIIs'SO SAAAD', etc everytime there's a cute/sad development in the story...(not saying these things are necessarily bad, but if I were an author I wouldn't count those as reviews).
That being said, my reviews are generally a short version of my thoughts. I rarely elaborate too much, since I'd honestly need to re-read the story a second time for that (the first reading is often too emotional to offer a proper idea of a story, especially if I liked it); it takes time and most authors don't really care about it anyway (and why would they since I'm just another reader)...but if you're interested in a second, deeper opinion or critique or clarification either reply or let me know via PM and I'll try to re-read and answer you as soon as possible.
