![]() Author has written 7 stories for StarTrek: Voyager, StarTrek: Deep Space Nine, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Torchwood. Jonathan J Strange I am 30 years old, I live in the NorthEast of England and have had an interest in writing for many years now, the amount of half finished manuscripts and one line ideas on my hard drive could, if put together, fill a good size book, not really worth reading. Likes - I enjoy a good horror or science fiction. Startrek Voyager was a pretty good series over all, maybe not perfect but at least it had depth to the characters (Not just Janeways hair.) LOTR was a very good trilogy, maybe a little too biblical in parts, "And the seventh blade of grass blew lightly in the wind." As my friend always says. But considering I read it when I was 13 on the bus to school I think it managed to keep me interested for some months. Doctor Who, a childhood filled with, behind the sofa, fun. I do like the new one's but, at heart, I'm a child of the 80's so Collin Baker and Sylvester McCoy have a place in my heart. I love John Pertwee too, He was the 'James Bond' of Doctor Whom gadgets galore and he knew marshal arts, one cool dude. Babylon 5 - A great series, the story lines so well thought out and interwoven, MJS certainly has the gift for spinning a good yarn. Torchwood - A very good spin-off series, very well constructed but I can understand why it is not to everyone's taste. Now, what don't I like... I'm not mad on the Sara Conner Chronicles, why would I watch a show that already know the end too, not like they're going to kill John, chance would be a fine thing. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - maybe she should have called it, Harry potter and the Deathly Bordeom, I'm sorry to all those who 'loved' it but... All they do is sit in a field and then, and then, to add insult to injury, she breaks one of her own rules. You can't come back from Avada Kadavra... well harry did? (Sorry, I'll stop ranting now.) |
