Nick has a feeling for his fellow survivor, Ellis. Little does he know that Ellis has the same thoughts.

After failed evac, Nick and Ellis settle down in Baton Rouge. Six months later, Ellis contracts the infection, which slowly turns him into a hunter. Nick makes the decision to "keep" Ellis despite the transformation.
