I enjoy ranting, writing stories, video games and reading.

I became obsessed with Deadpool a couple years back and he has since, like he now always will be, my absolute favorite hero/person/fictional character of all time. (Anti-hero, villain, whatever title you want to put on him really)

Pairings: Cable and Deadpool are my OTP realized via the Cablepool Manifesto (Not sure if that's the original manifesto I read but it's very similar)

Spideypool: After finding out about Deadpool I began looking for fanfictions. My first pairing came from the bigger fandom of Spideypool. The Spideypool fandom is quite popular and rather large, so naturally I began reading fic after fic and enjoying various stories. However, for me, after I read the Cablepool manifesto, I no longer believe Spiderman/Deadpool to be a good pairing. Is it because it's not canon? No. I just don't believe a relationship between Peter and Wade could work anymore. Spideypool is still a cute read if anything. =]

Cablepool: Cable/Deadpool is my OTP, as mentioned above. Like the link below will show you, Nathan and Wade do indeed have their bad moments. I wouldn't say their relationship is unhealthy though and I don't believe its abusive. I remain adamant that Wade and Nathan are perfect for each other, especially in canon. Under the Cablepool proof links, I also provide links to why Cable/Deadpool is canon. OTP

I don't ship Shiklah and Wade, however. Shiklah is a strong female character which I enjoy but she cheats on Wade WITHOUT his knowledge. Not to mention, she's pretty much pulled out of nowhere and married to Deadpool in a short period of time. I appreciate that Shiklah is like Cable, she doesn't care about Wade's appearance, but regardless of such she and Wade are likely to be divorced soon. MARRY NATHAN AND WADE TOGETHER AGAIN MARVEL! Only, y'know, officially this time with the ceremony and everything.

Stryfepool, or any mixture of Stryfe/Cable/Wade (My only other OTP): Stryfe Nightfall Winters Grey- the name given to him by me and Marvelite5ever. While Stryfe has only been portrayed as a villain, I think he's been given the short end of the stick. Made as a replacement in case the original Nathan Summers died, Stryfe was taken by Apocalypse and was raised and encouraged to be cruel and arrogant. I think Stryfe does deserve redemption because of how twisted Apocalypse made him but Marvel is fond of making him Cable's antagonist of course. Although I say Cablepool is my OTP, I truly believe Stryfe deserves some kindness and he is frequently included in my stories (almost every one of them!). As such, Stryfe/Wade/Nathan are my only other OTP.

Why the name? Well, Marvelite5ever and I love discussing and ranting together XD We decided this name for Stryfe to help match Cable's long name! Not to mention, the meanings of Nightfall, Winter(s) and the color Grey. In addition, between Summers and Grey (His mother's last name), I believe would choose Grey just because.

Direct quote from Marvelite5ever during our discussion for Stryfe's names, explaining the whole Nightfall part of Stryfe's name: "Nightfall is WAY better than Nightspring! Dude, just say them both aloud - Nightfall just tastes better/feels better to say. Also, the word 'spring' is so incredibly lively - it's a movement upwards. The word 'fall,' on the other hand, has a more negative connotation, because falling is always terrifying, and maybe sometimes thrill, but ultimately, falling is scary, and it's a downward movement. And that's just those words as verbs - as nouns as seasons, fall is nearing the end of the year - west and sunset and the end of days, sort of thing. The weather's getting colder, leaves are turning colors and falling, etc. Spring is the beginning of days, new birth and new life, flowers and sunshine and all that. Which is so very not Stryfe. And Nightfall is the direct opposite of Dayspring. Night and day, fall and spring. Exactly opposites. Which was your point about Stryfe and Nate in the first place. Additionally, nightfall is a real word for the coming of night, and I remember you saying that you likened Stryfe to night and Nate to daytime. For a middle name for Stryfe, Nightfall is superior to Nightspring in every way. :P"

Reasons to ship Cablepool. (#1 reason)

In case you don't believe the above, even more reasons Cablepool is real and canon. (#2 reason, reason #3 is just below and is far more detailed then reason #1 or 2)

The above 2 are mostly pictures with no comprehensive evidence? Well, aside from subtext telling a much bigger story, here's a comprehensive post about why Cablepool is real and very much canon. Do I agree at the end where it is stated Cablepool isn't healthy? No. As I would with someone saying Cablepool is abusive, to those who think it is unhealthy I refer you to the first link again. Cable and Deadpool's relationship isn't perfect but what relationship is? They have their moments, good and bad, but its my firm belief that Cable and Deadpool are meant for each other.

Your decision is your own, whether you ship Cablepool or not at the end. I believe Nate and Wade are perfect for each other but you certainly don't have to. I don't think the relationship is unhealthy or abusive even if you disagree. However, like in all things, people will disagree on things for various reasons so if you don't ship Cablepool or think it's not healthy or that its abusive, we'll agree to disagree. =]

Archive of our Own (Ao3): Cablepool fanfictions. For those who haven't been to Ao3 or don't know the system yet, Ao3 sorts fanfics by names rather than things like Cablepool or Spideypool. So instead of Cablepool, you'd have Nathan Summers/Wade Wilson or Peter Parker/Wade Wilson instead of Spideypool. Ao3 has expanded a lot since it began, and as such, it's worth checking out for many great fanfictions.
