'My astonishingly brilliant vocabulary is wasted on my half minded friends'. Story of my life.

Here are a few things to note.

1. I love Harry Potter.

2. I honestly believe that Draco and Hermione should have ended up together. Whilst Ron was the obvious choice from book one, I've always believed that his intellect and general being was just not a match for Hermione. I've always viewed Draco as this misunderstood badboy who receives good grades and would be a much more sufficient match for Hermione. After all, who wouldn't prefer a couple with fights and spark over a boring couple that have no issues whatsoever...
By picking Draco as Hermione's partner, it would have shown that everyone is capable of redemption and because they're both so different, it would have really shown the effects of the end of the war. But hey, who I am to decide?!

3. I will never ever ship Ron and Hermione. It's just not for me. I think that Ron has always taken the things in his life for granted and let's be honest, he's a bit of a grommet. In saying that, I will never judge anyone that does ship Ron and Hermione.

4. Whilst I love the idea of Hermione being with someone like Remus or Sirius when I read other people stories or write them myself, if it had have been done in the book I would have been thoroughly creeped out and wouldn't have read the books anymore.

5. My favourite character in the Harry Potter series is Draco Malfoy. I don't think that JK focused on him enough when she wrote the books. She didn't capture the real essence of him. If Draco had have been brought up with different morals and values, would he have ended up with Ron, Hermione and Harry? I sure think so. He surely had the potential to. Deep down, Draco is not a bad guy. He was just led to make bad choices. I really wish that JK had have put a bit more focus on him in the epilogue. I truly believe that he would have used the end of the war as an opportunity to change himself for the better. That is why I love reading stories where he is still snooty (because some things never change) but he is actually a good person, capable of love.

6. I think Hermione Granger is just fantastic. She embodies everything that women should be. She is strong willed, intelligent and doesn't let anybody get in her way. She is resilient and just plain brilliant. Whilst she still has boy troubles, she doesn't need a man to make her happy. She is the brains behind the trio, showing that women also have strength. The fact that she was placed in a friendship with two boys shows that she has the capacity to be just as brilliant as them, making the book very non-sexist.

7. I'm a real grammar nazi. I can't read a story with incorrect spelling, grammar or punctuation. I don't know why it annoys me so much, but it does and I can't change it.
