Nyota Uhura has perfect pitch, and her sharp ears never miss a beat. She recognizes the ka'athyra's song as soon as she hears its first strains in a hallway between the Academy practice rooms. Unfortunately, its being played by her least favorite Starfleet instructor. Fortunately, she convinces him to teach her how to play anyway.

Spock is an uncomfortable man/vulcan. His mother does notice, and persuades him into participating in the celebrations of an earthly event- Valentine's day. What his mother didn't expect, though, was her socially awkward child to actually be head-over-heels in love.

Established S/U. What happens when an accident on an away mission leaves our favorite couple out of sync? How will they each react and can they find their way back?

She wants to break up with him. There's just one problem. She's bonded with him! Melodrama ensues.
