Tired and disillusioned by society, Mr Darcy decides to take a vacation, but most certainly not of the kind one would expect from a man of his consequence. No, to avoid turning bitter he decides it's time for a change and a drastic one. What he has not counted on is, that in doing so he could lose his heart. INFO: Will be taken down for a few months come Sept., but will be back!

Darcy never gets a chance to deliver his letter, as Elizabeth is recalled to Longbourne the very morning after his disastrous proposal. The Bennets are in a precarious position, but Darcy has a solution. Will Elizabeth save her family at the expense of her own happiness? This is a variation on the marriage before love narrative. Sparks fly when Miss Elizabeth Bennet takes work as a governess at Pemberley. Will deceptions, highwaymen, and one rambunctious eleven-year-old girl bring Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy together or tear them apart?

A light-hearted short story looking at what might have happened if Elizabeth had been sent to London while Lydia and Wickham were missing, and met Darcy there - an unexpected encounter and a little baking lead to a sweet resolution. Follow Three Weeks in Kent. Mr Darcy and Elizabeth are set to marry but how can they maintain the pretence of convenience when it's clear their feelings are genuine? Lizzy's happiness is stymied only by the knowledge that Jane has been abandoned by Mr Bingley - but is he being manipulated into leaving Hertfordshire and her sister behind?

As suggested in the title of Jane Austen's original work, Darcy's greatest failing is pride. His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?

While Elizabeth gets a bit of excellent advice from her friend Charlotte Collins while staying at the Hunsford Parsonage, it is the fact that the encounter with Colonel Fitzwilliam occurs a day early that changes the dynamics of her stay at the Parsonage.

The classic twist of Mr. Bennet dies, Darcy offers a marriage of protection, and he and Elizabeth must work through their pride and prejudices without being able to escape one another.

Shamelessly conceived after reading CheshireSorrow's Liberties Taken (May I suggest you read it). Warning, it is a little risqué for 1813. Mr Darcy finds himself in a rather sticky situation during the Meryton Assembly. Not yet introduced to Miss Bennet, they find themselves compromised and made to marry. And so the fun begins.
