Time for a profile edit, I think - it has been over 5 years, after all. I'm still more stalker than writer, but I'm proud to say that I've contributed a heck of a lot more to the site than the last time I put up a "hello" here.

Memory (Buffy) is my oldest fic here, and - if I'm honest - I'm not sure I'll ever get around to finishing it. The Patient (Firefly) is similar - I had a muse for more in that line at the time, but the muse has long since left. I've thought about adapting it to other stories, but I'm not quite sure if I should/want to.

There is no Erebor (The Hobbit) is meant to have more. I have an approximate idea of where it's headed - or rather, several paths it could head down - but it hasn't chosen a path yet, and I'm not intent on forcing it to. If you have any thoughts about this one, where it should go from here, please let me know. It could help me make a decision.

Durin's Day (The Hobbit)... that one is very special to me. Smalls was my co-author/writer wrangler for it, but the two of us have grown a bit apart and life's changes have made communication between us increasingly difficult. Until Smalls and I can get to talking on a more regular basis again, I'm afraid that one will be on hiatus. Yes, I have thought of continuing on my own, but DD belongs to both of us and I'm not yet ready to tackle the idea of moving on without my friend.

Magic Black (cross over - Harry Potter & Pitch Black/Riddick), this is my new golden child. I've read a lot of this cross over and I wanted more variety. I wanted Harry to be just as vulnerable as the other survivors, for reasons that made sense, of course, and I didn't want that instant love/lust connection that seems so prevalent in this corner of the fandom. This story is my take on that set up. Harry is displaying my understanding of Post Battle Stress - I'm trying to be respectful about the condition, but I have no personal experience with it so liberties have been taken. I've decided that Riddick is aromantic (never feels romantic love) and that Harry is demisexual (only develops sexual attraction to a person after a strong emotional bond is formed) - again, I have no personal experience with these identifiers, but I am trying to be respectful. I think there'll be something sexual between them later, but not during Magic Black. You could consider this story either a set up or a very slow burn.

There will (hopefully) be more in the same 'verse as Magic Black. I plan to at least cover Dark Fury, the 5 year gap, and the Chronicles of Riddick. I'm not so sure I'll use the movie titled Riddick (it felt a little redundant to me) or the upcoming film Furia. I have given thought to crossing this 'verse's path with the ragtag crew of a certain Firefly, but my mood on that changes depending on the day. Again, let me know if you think it should go one way or the other.

Onto less exciting news.

I am currently working 2 jobs. It's not as bad as it could be, but it is a necessity. I'm also not seeing Necrolock as often, so there's less opportunity for us to collaborate. Thank everything wicked and shiny for Facebook messenger and Google Docs!
