My Flangell series looks like this: One shot stories... Pay Up Anniversary Stories... In my stories both Flack & Angell are 3rd grade Detecitves. Why?... because I researched it (yes, I even asked a real detective and a police officer about the differences) and Flack is just not old enough to be a 1st grade. Also, it has never been mentioned in any episode I can find. However, Chief Sincair did in S3 E23 refer to Flack as a 3rd grade. So, even though Flack has more seniority than Angell, but he does not 'outrank' her. In case you hadn't noticed, Angell's family & friends all call her 'Jessica', Flack is the only one that calls her 'Jess'. And if you've read my story "Rest Your Wings" you already know why she hates being called 'Jessie'.
