When Katniss and Peeta return to 12, both are struggling to deal with the losses of their past. Can they protect each other, like they swore they would, or is it already too late for them? Everlark— extended mockingjay ending.

Katniss has just won the 73rd Hunger games at 15 years old. As she struggles to cope with the trauma and pain and guilt, she also has to deal with the Capitol's anger at her. She is just trying to survive, in the only way she knows how. She will smile, wave, and play the part of the naive girl who could never inspire a rebellion if it means the survival of those she loves.

Katniss and Peeta take solace in liquor and make a poor decision. Katniss never wanted children or to fall in love, much less with a townie. Peeta will do anything to show her that he is different and that they can raise their child together and possibly be happy. With the rebellion on the rise, confused feelings with her best friend and discrimination high, Katniss is not so sure

Katniss gets closer then shes ever been with Peeta and end up getting pregnant on the victory tour. The weight of Snow and what happened in District Eleven is crushing her. At home a jealous Gale awaits, a far to grown Prim, and a violation no one should go through. Follows the books timeline but is AU. A dark story and Rated m for a reason people. Just saying
