Picks up following the events of Serenity, when both Mal and Inara admit they're ruined for anyone else.

They quickly realize the "you depend on anybody for anything" philosophy doesn't apply when it comes to them. Beth knows she needs Daryl but does he need her? This is a Bethyl slow burn.
