When Ross O'Donovan meets someone online and becomes friends with them, he decides to visit Los Angeles to meet them in person. But once he gets to LA, he realizes that he is having major chest pain. He later finds out that his chest is glowing for an unknown reason. He still continues to wonder why this happens. But a certain person he meets in LA answers that question for him.
