Fifteen years after the events of LOTR King Elessar is forced to return to the wilderness in order to find his son, Eldarion, who has been kidnapped. Casting off the mantle of kingship he must return to his old self, Strider, and capture the kidnappers.

Here follows is a coming of age story set in the time before LOTR. The events culminate in the war which Aragorn rode to in his youth, against the Orcs with Théoden’s grandfather.
