Set just after The Gift; The Buffybot is broken. Spike feels like he should be the one to gather it up and put it back away.

A look into two different parts of Spike's life. While he's under the influence of The First, he falls back into the disturbingly easy mindset of picking out another victim. Later he helps Buffy train with the potential Slayers and struggles with old habits. Slightly AU, as the timeline doesn't mesh for when it is that Spike has the chip out/when they know he was used by the First.

After the events in The Gift, Willow tries to repair the Buffybot. No one is very comfortable coping with the bot now that Buffy is gone, but Spike has to deal with taking it back to Willow to fix after it begins to show up at his crypt again. Mentions of Spike/Buffy.
