AU in which every time a person falls in love, a red line like a tally mark appears on their wrist. Sherlock is determined to keep himself from ever gaining one of these marks for fear that love will corrode his mental faculties. Then he meets John Watson. Johnlock.

For John, trouble starts when a fake engagement is needed for a case. Keeping things secret turns out to be rather difficult when your brother in law actually is the Britsh Government. Soon enough whole London celebrates the happy event. To make things worse, Sherlock turns out to be a master of seduction and being 'involved' with Sherlock doesn't feel as bad as it should be...

In which Sherlock Holmes is a nightmare, John Watson loves (almost) every minute of it, and the terms of ownership are negotiated via a rather roundabout path. Rated NC-17 for sexual content, violence, language, self-harm, references to drug use, and power dynamics. Oh-so-very Johnlock. Complete. The Good Soldier, one of the oldest and strongest of the fallen, is offered a bargain: to live as John Watson and to Guide a fledgling archangel so that he will stay on the path of good.
