Updates:

At the moment I'm not writing much at all. Attempting to, but World of Warcraft keeps calling me back to its mindless entertainment. I am getting bored with it though, so I may start writing again. I probably wont continue any of the fics that I left off on.

I normally don't bother with this sort of thing, but I've been seeing it more often lately. I'm refering to the numerous accounts on FF.net that are made solely for the purpose of singling out "Mary Sues" and stories that have poor grammar and spelling. Why do people feel that it's their duty to police what goes on in the fandoms here? I've seen many reviews where a large paragraph is simply copy-pasted and contains, more often than not, the typical definition of "Mary Sue" and some commonly used grammatical errors; somtimes it's just a giant flame. Yes, many of these underdeveloped stories need assistance badly, but giving them a cold, thoughtless 'review' isn't going to help fix the problem you hate so very much. These 'sue-authors' will only become defensive and flame you back. You have the right idea, but you're going about it all wrong. A negative review is going to gain a negative response.

...Unless you're hoping that eventually they'll get fed up and put effort into their grammar and spelling just so you'll leave them alone. Which seems kind of counterproductive to me since it doesn't always work out that way. Or perhaps your goal is to wear down their desire to write until they stop all together. I understand there are those who simply wont bother to improve out of sheer laziness, but your flaming isn't going to change that. If anything it will just make it worse.
