![]() Greetings, to all Fanfiction users. I am, of course, the Clear Water Alchemist. It is nice to meet you all. I enjoy many different Animes, books and manga: 1. Detective Conan I have many likes and few things I hate. However, one of them is the rampant and ridiculous amounts of bashing that takes place on this website. This cannot be allowed to continue, so I decided to join Fanfiction.net as a new user. I've been reading these stories for well over two years now, and some Authors are incredible. However because of the said ridiculous amounts of bashing, those authors and their stories are hidden amongst the childish writers. Now, I understand that people need to get their emotions out, and that's just the way sometimes people see the characters. However, there has to be a limit to the immaturity. I have been silent for too long. I am speaking out against the bash fics, I will not allow them unanswered any more. Effective immediately, I am creating the first anti-bash community, where all authors can group their stories. No more with the bashing...no more with the tearing down of good characters for the amusement of childish writers. I know there are authors out there, just like me, who hate bash fics. Come, people, bring your stories and have me put them up there. On a side note, this community also rejects Yaoi and Yuri fics. Sorry, but I just don't like them. Sasuke and Naruto are not gay. Some of the most harshly bashed characters includes the following, and my thoughts on them. Even I dislike some (most) of the below mentioned characters. However, they don't deserve the amount of grief they are given: Sasuke Uchiha - I must say, I really dislike Sasuke Uchiha. He's shown himself to be thoroughly naive, following the words of madmen (Itachi Uchiha when we all thought he was insane, and Madara Uchiha/Tobi who seems pretty insane as well) to the letter. "Foolish little brother," indeed. Itachi was right. However, people tend to forget that this boy was once a good guy, that he had good points and good moments as well. He's also a genius in many different areas. You don't get to be the top of the class at a ninja academy for nothing. Sakura Haruno - fangirl, I know. Seemingly worthless at the beginning, I know. But she does come around, even if it is slowly. I think she has some worth, and all she needs is the proper motivation to change. People grow up, and Sakura just needed time to get out of her fangirl stage. Kakashi Hatake - Ah, one of my favorite characters, bashed into oblivion by childish writers. I'm disappointed, really. Kakashi doesn't pamper Sasuke. Many of the authors say this because Kakashi teaches Sasuke the chidori. Those same people tend to also forget who Sasuke was facing, Sabuku no Gaara, who nearly killed Lee while receiving little to no damage. Sasuke needed a trump card to kill the, at the time, mentally broken Gaara before the Jinchuuriki killed him. Besides, who's to say that Kakashi didn't teach them anything other than the tree climbing technique? If we were shown all the training they went through, it would take years to watch every detail of what happened to team seven. Kakashi is certainly late a lot, but only once does it really matter that he's late. In Shippuden, I don't think Kakashi is shown to be late. At least, none of the other characters comment on it. Well, I find it to be rather funny. Dumbledore - Manipulative old man, sure, but seriously?! Doing things without considering anything else other than himself, 'for the greater good?' I understand that people don't like to be manipulated, but Harry Potter was a kid, and kids don't often make the best choices unless led to them. Additionally, if a better plan comes up, the old man would take it. Some people are mad that everyone thought he was a perfect man up until book five through seven, then it turns out the man tried to abandon his family. It's aweful alright. But...he's a man. He, like all the rest, makes bad decisions, especially when he's young. He's had years to, and has, regret his actions. Also, leaving Harry Potter at the Dursleys, not the best idea, but no other alternatives were available. Sirius black, the only relative that could count for a blood relation, is in Azkaban. Harry needed the blood protection, so adoption was out of the question. Everyone else agreed the protection of blood was needed, except maybe professor Mcgonagall at the very beginning of the series. Once the Dursleys took him in, they were magically bound (basically physically incapable) of killing the boy in the house. Those first four years at the Dursleys was the reason Voldemort couldn't kill Harry and then the blood resurrection ritual which tied the magic of his mother's love even closer. There are reasons he's considered to be Hogwarts greatest Headmaster. Ronald Weasley - Ron is a man with many faults. However, he does grow up throughout the series, and learns from his mistakes as time goes on. He's a loyal partner and a good man. Weasley family - Guilt by association, that's how most people view Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. Just because they follow Dumbledore doesn't mean they are partners with the man in a plot to ruin Harry Potter's life. They do like the boy, one can see that by just looking at how they treat him. Regardless of how one view's Dumbledore, the Weasleys shouldn't be judged solely on that. Either judge all the Weasley's equally in cahoots with Dumbledore (don't leave out Ginny, Fred and George because you like them) or judge them without prejudice. Orochimaru - People might be surprised I mention this psycho. However, many of the authors of Naruto fanfiction write stories, even good stories, with jibes at the character's sexuality. The sickening jokes about homosexuality are in poor taste! Get your minds out of the gutter, people, as not everyone's motivation in life is based on sex! Orochimaru's motivation is to live forever, maybe even become 'the god of this new world.' Danzo- Danzo's...well, people usually get him about right. But on a minor note, he isn't the leader of root for nothing. He's an adaptable old vulture. Sasuke and Madara had trouble killing him. Don't underestimate Danzo when writing him. He's a smart villian, when most people think all villians are idiots. Smart villians are the most difficult ones to get just right, so keep the smart villians smart, ok. As I read and learn of more, I'll be sure to update this list. |
