I'm not much of a fanfiction writer, I prefer to do my own original stories. But I figure fanfiction is a method of practice for both the writer and the reader. I enjoy constructive criticism, but blatant flaming will be deleted.
My current fanfiction project will be a retelling of the story of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Blending both the actual game with more personable details of other original character mingling, storywise, with the main cast. The chapters will be segmented by the actual episodes you see in the game. Therefore, for those who are still in process of PLAYING the game, don't read the chapters past what you've played so far. They'll only end up being complete spoilers to you (and I wouldn't want that ^_^).
