 Author has written 14 stories for Shakespeare, Sweeney Todd, Phantom of the Opera, and Lord of the Rings. Hey! This is me resurrecting a long-dead presence here on the interwebs, and I'm not sure where to start. I'm Val. I'm an aspiring writer, a lousy gardener, a Sunday School teacher, a huge fan of Renaissance Fairs, and an excellent dog-sitter. I'm entranced by anything DIY, and daydream about building my own place with a huge garden, a wood-burning stove, and a flock of goats and chickens. Oh, yes: I'm also evil. Just kidding. Maybe. Anyway. I tend to take to fandoms obsessively but temporarily. And then I get to revisit my old obsessions. And read my old fanfiction. And cringe. Ha ha. Right now I'm on a Shakespeare binge, but I'm also fond of Sweeney Todd, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Phantom of the Opera... Essentially anything medieval or creepy. Or both. Both is nice. And the more strong female characters the better. (Lady Macbeth is presently my hero.) That's more than you probably cared about, anyway. But please enjoy my stories. Stories: My first three stories, "Macbeth's Halloween," "Thanksgiving at Elsinore" and "Curse of the Scottish Play" are all pretty well ridiculous. The first two are crack-fics. The third... just, "Huh WHAT?" Senseless. I decided not to take them off, but... Eh. Can't say I reccoment you waste your time on them. "Macbeth of Moray" I am officially discontinuing, but only because I have a so much better idea for the Macbeths' backstory. So excited! "Dunsinane's Storm" is finished. Just a one-shot. As is "The Secret'st Man of Blood," my little commemoration of the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Dunsinane. "That's the Throat to Slit," my first Sweeney Todd story, is finished. So is "Have to Hand it to Her", another oneshot, and just a funny one, like "Nepeta Cataria." In spite of my love for cats, I do love me some good Mrs. Mooney stories. And of course, my masterpiece and my pride and joy: "Kidney Pie" is a Sweeney Todd - Jack the Ripper cross-over. "Nativity" is my first Phantom story. It's about young Erik and the Gypsies. Kind of a Christmas story. It's finished, but may lead to other things... "The Last Trip Home" is also a completed Phantom one-shot. "Where Is Thy Horn," an AU Lord of the Rings story, still hovers kinda vaguely someone among the things I hope to continue. | |||||||
