![]() Author has written 5 stories for Alex Rider, Lord of the Rings, Rise of the Guardians, and Merlin. “We all live in suspense from day to day, in other words you are the hero of your own story.” -Mary McCarthy. “You know, it seems to me that there is so much more to the world than the average eye is allowed to see. I believe that if you look hard, there are more wonders than you could have dreamed of.” -Vincent Van Gogh Doctor Who. “when you come to the edge of all the light you have, and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe that one or two things will happen to you, either there will be something solid for you to stand on, or you will be taught how to FLY” -Anonymous “Someday we will forget the hurt, the reason we cried, and who or what caused us pain. We will finally realize that the secret to being free is not revenge, but letting things unfold in their own way and in their own time. After all what matters is not the first, but the last chapter of our life which shows us how well we ran the race. So smile, laugh, forgive, believe and love all over agin because the best is yet to come.” -Anonymous. ‘I’ve travelled the world twice over, OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing 92% of American teenagers today would die if Abercrombie & Fitch said it wasn't cool to breathe anymore. If you're part of the 8% that would be laughing their rears off, put this in your profile. 93 percent of Americans would have a severe emotional breakdown if someone called them a freak. If you're a part of the 7 percent who would ask the person, "What was your first clue?", copy this into your profile. 97 of teens would cry if they saw Robert Pattison (Edward Cullen from Twilight) standing on top of a sky scraper, about to jump. If you're one of the 3 who would sit there eating pop corn screaming "DO A FLIP!" then copy and paste this Okay so you HAVE to read this so good! Strangers stab you in the front. I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. This story is about a little girl that was abused. If you care about it, copy and paste it to your profile: Child abuse, MAKE IT STOP! Copy this if you believe it needs to end For people that hate stereotypes: If you think people should just shut up and stop, put this on your profile. (BOLD the ones you are.) I'm SKINNY, so I MUST be anorexic. Signs you may be obsessed with Supernatural: 1. You understand the reference "I don't understand that reference" 2. You have a some point when asked "Where were you?" Thought about answering with "On a bender" 3. You have told someone that something "is not of import." 4. You can identify a 1963 Chevy Impala on sight. 5. You find the images of fluffy angels funny. 6. You get disappointed if people don't have the appropriate response to being called a bitch or a jerk. 7. On occasion the reason you like characters in other tv shows/books/movies is because they have a trench coat. 8. Pie became your favorite dessert after watching the show. 9. You have taken a gummy worm and announced "I'm not going to eat it, I'm gonna wear it as a wormstache." (I did this on a bus one time my Mom looked a me funny, but the girl behind me was a fan and asked for a gummy worm. We spent the rest of the ride wearing our wormstaches and talking) 10. The third week of May is a scary time for you to be in an apple orchard/you now wonder if every scarecrow is really a murderous pagan god. 11. You have recently thought "gee Satan was pretty cool. Can we trade him for Metatron?" A Tribute to Supernatural by criminalxxxmindsxxxfreak: Here's to the boy, who saved a world He never really felt a part of Sam Winchester Here's the man, who sold his soul To save his little brother Dean Winchester Here's the old drunk, who always had the answers And never even got a Thank You Bobby Singer Here's to the angel, who gave his life For Friendship, Loyalty and Free Will Castiel Here's to the heroes, who were broken inside And kept on trying, even when there was no hope left "Let me tell you a story. I was never the girl that boys wrote love songs for, never the girl that had the world yo-yoed around her fingers, never the girl that spent midnights on the beach with red plastic cups in her hands. I was the girl that spent recess on the swings, my palms stretched around chains that locked me to the earth and swung me to the stars. I was the girl who hid behind four corners of a novel because words have always been more patient than people. I was the girl who held the cloak of invisibility behind the cloak of indifference. On my yearbook they would write 'You rock, don't ever change,' but how do you listen when you stare at your reflection in mirrors and only see a paper crane falling apart at the seams? I told myself what no one else would tell me, I said 'Your body is made of ivory bridges beneath the pavement of skin. You are the causeway to every destination, where you go and what you do is entirely up to you,' I said, 'If you you don't like the route you're taking the car you're driving, the world you're in, you can change it. If you don't like you, you can change it. You want to be a writer so let this be your work of art. You are the poet and the poem, the conductor and the orchestra. Write your life like you would read it. Remember that every line within you can be crossed out, every noun not needed, every adjective all wrong. Throw yourself down unexpected roads. Turn right when you want to go left. Remember that it's okay to be more than one genre. You're allowed to sit down on a park bench reading Bukowski at midnight and stand up listening to Kanye. You're allowed to always wear black when your favorite color is pink. You're allowed to be a sonnet and also a country song.' I told the girl filled with self-hate 'It's okay, this is only the first draft'" -Kelsey Danielle The stories never really end do they? It goes on and at some point you will have to write THE END, but nothing will ever truly be the end. People die, people have children who grow, and people love. So when that story you were reading, never has a real ending, what do you do? You make your own. And everyone makes their own stories and endings. That's why we have fanfiction. To make stories how we want it, and let our imagination go without people hating on us. I am finally writing stories, and I'm going to try to update every Sunday. If I'm sick or on a vacation on Sunday, then I will update later that week. I love constructive criticism, so please do that, but do not say you hate it and not explain why it's bad. |
