A UNSC frigate is sent into another dimension after a disaster with their slipspace drive. Now lost in unknown territory, they must attempt to befriend the population of a local planet of strange humans. Slight AU as RWBY hasn't explained a few things about it's world that I have filled in.

Opening a diner was an impetuous decision, being good at it a stroke of luck. Becoming the favourite haunt for students, teachers and criminals alike…? That was neither, but it sure did keep things interesting. Wasn't the civilian life supposed to be easier?

Helping people. Saving people. Smiting 'evil.' That's all he did. To many out in the frontier, he was a unquestionably a hero. But to himself, he was a slave and little more.
