Marco was Star's first friend when she came to earth and she thought that her feelings for him would always be just that. But what happens when an old friend of Marco's comes into the picture as well as a new friend of Star's? Will their friendship endure, break, or grow into something more? And what is this strange evil force who seems to have a hand in all of this?

Star is a happy-go-lucky party girl with strong tendencies to make mistakes. When she makes the ultimate mistake—bringing with it the consequences that threaten her arranged marriage—Star vows secrecy and returns to Mewni before Marco can find out why. But he has a knack for discovering anything, and allowing the wedding would mean losing Star forever...but sparing Mewni from war.

Mewberty can be a difficult and confusing time for any young girl on Mewni. Star is no different, unfortunately there was no way for her to be ready for this. Starco, what did you expect?

Star finally gets her wish to go out with Oscar and is extremely excited about it. Unbeknownst to her, Marco has a crush on her and is heartbroken when he sees them dating but tries to be happy for her anyway. Star is completely oblivious to this until Marco makes a new friend and things start to go awry. Will Star realize her feelings before its too late?
