She was supposed to sleep away the century's. She was supposed to be unaware of the passage of time. That was Celestia plan for her sister. But our plans rarely go as expected. Trapped in a cell for a thousand years. Alone except for the most vicious of cellmates and her own insanity how is Luna supposed to react when she is finally freed? How does she tell reality from fantasy?

Princess Luna has been plagued by the same horrible dream for months. When sent to Ponyville by her sister for some rest, Celestia goes missing, leaving all of Equestria in the dark of night. With the aid of the Mane 6, Luna must find her sister and stop a mysterious cult before the entire world becomes doomed to an eternity of darkness.

Told in Celestia's POV. As Celestia and Luna enjoy their romantic evening rendezvous, the princess of the sun recounts a time long forgotten to the ponies of modern Equestria, but that is as clear as a bright, summer day to her. She could never forget the gift of love she bestowed upon her sister, nor the punishment she would inflict upon her in the throes of bitter resentment.

Princess Celestia has called Twilight and her friends to Canterlot on an urgent matter and the Princess seems more stressed out that anyone has ever seen her before. Princess Luna tells the ponies that their father the "King" is returning to Equestria.
