In an alternative universe, Protag/MC chooses to check on Sayori before going to school rather than wait until seeing her poem. As he enters her room, he is met with an unpleasant surprise, and he wonders if he can save her before it's too late.

A painful crisis was averted, but the aftermath may be what hurts most of all. He needs her as much as she needs him. It's time to be a hero.
