![]() Greetings, my name is Anastasia and I am 23 years old. I am Greek, a student in the English department of the Aristotle University of Salonika of Linguistics and Literature. The Twilight seires are awfully written and obviously, a disappointed, sexually frustrated woman's wet dream, who goes through the crisis of the thirties. They are sickening, a shame to literature and the vampire folklore. However, I see their (spent and wasted, unfortunately) potential. Had they been fantasy/action and not romance, the main idea of vampires vs Native Americans as werewolves (or, shape shifters, if you want), would make it a rather good story. Too bad such a woman wrote them. The characters are awful, the top three being Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and the hell spawn, Renesmee/Nessie/whatever Cullen. The only character from the main ones I liked was poor Jacob. He has flaws, he is a normal, arrogant, yet selfless teenager. A rare gem among garbage and nightmares disguised as dreams, like Edward. Him imprinting on Renesmee/Nessie/whatever simply makes no sense, for imprinting means finding the mother of your children, as stated in BD. Renesmee is bound to have an unchanging body when matured, thus no babies. SMeyer, you are an epic fail, so I overlook that moronic, sickening, oh-so-convenient twist that violates rules you have created. The wolf pack is lovely, especially Leah; the only female character that can be described as having a personality. Seth is a cutie, I confess. The Volturi are the only real vampires in the whole story. Now, if only they didn't sparkle... I don't give a damn about the Cullen family. Emmet would be cool if he wasn't a murderer as well. I write for my own amusement. I do not belong to any "team", for I think Bella simply needs to be raped and killed. Yes, I'm that cruel to her pitiful Mary-Sue persona. I rarely write romance, which is definitely bound not to give me fans or reviews, for the readership of Twilight is mainly romance-sick teenage girls. I do not judge, I've been one myself... at the ages between 10-13. I do not wish for a beta, for I aim to become better by myself. Any constructive criticism on my writing is welcome, though. |
