A Time of Peace is set right after the epilogue of Lady Knight (which is included at the beginning of chapter 1). This fic is an in-depth analysis of the progression of Kel, Dom, Neal, and Yuki's lives after the end of the quartet. I'm trying to keep as canon as possible and as in-character as possible. Neal is faced with the challenge that the heroine of his life's ballad is missing something very important and has been for some time. As the self-proclaimed side-kick to Kel's greatness, he attempts to right what he views as a great wrong done to his beloved best friend.

When a fire strikes outside of Corus, Kel joins Third Company to help control the blaze. But instead the sparks help to rekindle the growing relationship between the Lady Knight and a certain sergeant when they are sent on a long mission along the Tyran border. Can our favorite pair survive all that is trying to keep them apart, or will they be burned in the process?

While Neal focuses on his forthcoming marriage to Yuki, Kel notices a change in one of her old friends when she and Neal visit Masbolle. The aftermath in the personal lives of our Scanran War heroes. [Companion guide titled "Masbolle: A Study" is on my profile.]

After her return from war with Scanra, Kel finds many things are different, like some conservatives now second guess their original dislike of the Lady Knight. However, some things remain the same for, as many of her friends begin pairing off and getting married, she remains alone.

Kel returns home two years after the war with Scanra ends. Invited to the O-Tsukimi festival, Kel finds many things from her past popping up in front of the worse people possible, her friends. As her fellow knights discover a side of her they never would have dreamed possible, the handsome blue eyed sergeant whose heart beats for the Lady Knight begins to unravel her mysteries.

The Scanran war is over, and Dom is now Captain of First Company. Ahead is much hard work, as Lord Raoul plans further reforms to the King's Own and Dom tries to sort through his feelings and figure out what, if anything, he wants from a certain lady knight.

The Own has always been first in Dom's life, except now it just might not be as important.

Kicked out of Page training, Kel becomes entangled in a bitter struggle for the suffering people of Scanra. Four years later she returns to Tortall, a stranger to those who once knew her, a stranger who has not forgotten the promises she made...

Modern Kel/Dom set in a high-school. Kel moves from Yaman to Tortall and begins attending "Tortall Selective High School" as the first girl ever accepted into their sports program. Who else is there?
