I'm Belkatya. I like to think of myself as the daughter of Polgara the Sorceress, but unfortunately that's not true.

I like to read and write. I can't go anywhere without listening to music. I also have a passion for photography and Paris.. actually, anything French, and Fall Out Boy. I have a BA in French and Spanish, and an MA in Literary Translation. My dream job would be to proofread translations of young adult fantasy.

I don't really read much fanfic about books I like. I mostly read Twific, because the books are terribly written, yet the characters have so much potential. HOWEVER:

I detest Edward Cullen except in a few fics. I can't stand his abusive nature. What also annoys me is the attitude of most fans towards him - as though he can do no wrong. I have seriously seen stories where Edward is portrayed as a wife beater, a rapist, or even worse - and the reviewers are eager for all to be forgiven, sometimes even criticising Bella for not being quick to do so. THIS IS NOT A HEALTHY ATTITUDE TO PROMOTE . Alice can also rub me up the wrong way unless she's OOC, i.e. not controlling.

If you like what I write, review, fave. if you don't, review and please tell me why :) I don't mind flames as long as they help me correct what I've done wrong.

My favourited fics are mostly completed ones with the odd never-finished that I can't get seem to let go of.
