Author has written 3 stories for House, M.D.. A Short Story, partially based on reality: 4:04 AM: Despite the lateness (or earliness, depending on how you look at it) of the hour, a hapless victim lies restless in their bed. Thunder strikes and along with it bounces a majestic creature, innocent in appearance upon first glance. The thunder strikes once more and the creature hops towards its helpless victim. The creature's deceptively fluffy cottontail and elongated, floppy ears a dead giveaway as to its species, its sharp claws and fangs (specially designed for attaching itself to its victims brain, not to be dislodged 'till satisfied), glowing golden eyes and multi-coloured fur, a clear indication of it breed. The creature freezes its advance, as its would-be victim tosses and turns in their chosen resting place. They sigh and close their eyes once more, once again fruitlessly attempting to sleep. With the next strike of thunder, the creature takes another hop towards its prey, now mere metres separate them. The victim turn once more, only to stare right into the eyes of their attacker. The wide-eyed victim desperately attempts to escape, but it's too little, too late, and the creature pounces, digging its claws into the victims scalp, and sinking its teeth into their brain... ...The plot-bunny finally relaxes, its job well and truly done, but its poor, poor victims only just beginning. |
