The Templars won the war. Of course, it was expected. Altair dies by Robert de Sable. Ezio dies from a stab wound inflicted by Rodrigo. Connor was killed by his father while looking for Church. Altaïr, Ezio, Connor, and Desmond are all ripped from their respective lives and thrown into the Animus Mainframe where a mysterious voice pairs them off and ships them into each other's worlds where they can all, hopefully, synchronize with one another's blood.

After much thought over how he could have ever gotten into his ancestor's time, the only conclusion that Desmond could reach was that he had gone nuts and all of this were hallucinations his brain had concocted up due to the Bleeding Effect. Either that, or his bed was some sort of time-traveling portal-but he was honestly leaning towards the former. [For N.H Moonshadow]

Malik is busying himself with a lot of work and is dealing with stress. When it is revealed that his back is aching, Altair decides to give him a massage. AltMal. Rated M for a reason. One-Shot.

For as long as anyone knew, something quite amazing happened on every leap year on New Year's Day. When the sun rose over the horizon on the first day of a new leap year everyone twenty-one or older switched bodies with their soul mate. It was a day when some found their true love, whom they would be with for the rest of their lives.

Altair feels someone is watching him. Desmond feels his life falling apart. A thousand years isn't any distance at all, really.

When brought back in time to Renaissance Italy, I find that surviving isn't as easy as it seems. Poor hygiene, crazy doctors, and rapists disguised as guards? When was this ever mentioned in the game?
