Peridot only wanted to enjoy the company of her online friend. Watching Pearl fluster over her crush, Amethyst teasing her about it, and Garnet observing smugly was fun - yet overwhelming. But when a new girl arrives at her high school, she begins to understand that one person can change someone's life so much.

Lapis Lazuli owns a bakery and is looking for a roommate to share her home with, Steven introduces her to Peridot and they slowly learn things about each others life. Peridot figures out the harder times in Lapis life while she gets to see the Daily stress of Peridots. The story also has many other characters also getting into relationships for better or worse.
