After defeating the Wicked Witch and returning to the Enchanted Forest, a prince arrives with the goal of winning Emma's hand in marriage. He attempts to snare her with a love potion, but Hook intervenes and winds up activating the potion himself, causing Emma to fall in love with him. Pan was finally defeated or so they had thought. But he had left a souvenir behind. A curse that would rip them apart once again.

Filled with anger and jealousy, he takes her in the alley and has his way with her as Captain Hook, reminding her who she belongs with. After all, he's a pirate, and pirates don't share. Killian lost everything at once. Emma had never had anthing until she found him.

Neverland. It's a darkly magical place, nothing like the stories she'd grown up loving as a child. It's deadly, beautiful, tragic—Emma knows that rescuing Henry will be dangerous. She expects it, accepts it...is prepared for it. The one thing she's not prepared for, however, are her raging feelings and ever-changing emotions for the infuriating pirate who's vowed to help her.

Emma's had a horrible day and just wants to drink her night away, but her night only gets worse when she sees Killian drinking and enjoying himself with Ruby. This makes her deal with feelings that she doesn't want to ignore anymore. Post Neverland. One-shot.

A short "what-if" from 3.07 - Neal doesn't interrupt Emma and Hook until several minutes later.

Each step she took forward. A warning bell shrilled. Every coached instinct whispering that this wasn't the best of ideas. It was these same instincts that had kept her heart safe all these years.
