Asriel's power after giving up the souls is waning, and he knows he'll become Flowey again when it runs out. But he also doesn't want Frisk to reset the timeline and make everyone suffer again just so he can save him. It would take a Miracle for Asriel to save everyone, and a Dream to achieve it.
