You think we're stopping now? Oh hell no, this is too much fun! Welcome Lovers! This is - to the best of our knowledge - the first official SVM contest in the fandom. Oh hellz yes! Time frame for this puppy: Entries may be submitted from July 15th - August 15th. Now, lets get down to the nitty gritty. Rules: All entries must feature Eric and Sookie as the main couple. Outside variables such as Pam are allowed if you wish. Free love, man. All entries must have a summer lovin' theme with a setting in the 60's or 70's. The summer of '69 is just for inspiration. All entries must have citrus. Full lemons are preferred, but slices and sips are also acceptable. Tropicana Pure Premium explosions are love. We encourage AU and AH entries, not just canon and vamp. (Alternate Universe and All Human) All entrants must be 18 years or older. This is M rated fiction for a reason. If you can't buy porn or legally vote, please turn around now and go watch the Woodstock doc for kicks. All entries must be a one-shot and must be a new story. Minimum 2,500 words. Max 10,000. All those who want to continue their stories - which we totes encourage - may do so once the contest has ended. You may submit more than one story, but 2 is the limit. No more than two one-shots per author. All entries must be beta'd. No exceptions. If you need help finding a beta there is a thread on The Sookieverse forum to help y'all out. :-) Update: There is also now an official contest thread on the forum. Feel free to go there and discuss. All entries must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM CST on August 15th. Otherwise, Cinderella is going home in a pumpkin. Voting will open to the public on or around August 17th. All entries must be submitted to Fanfiction.net. Once you've published your story, please send us the link via PM for entrance into the contest. All entries must feature the name of the contest in their story description, and the following heading: Eric n' Sooks - Summer of '69 One-shot Contest Title: Your Pen name: Characters: Disclaimer: Any story that doesn't adhere to the rules above will result in the expulsion of said story from the contest. (Ooo, I feel like I should be holding a whip when I talk like that!) Snap! How Voting Works: After we've read and reviewed your fabulous stories, all the entries will be narrowed down to five fuckawesome one-shots. There will be a closed session chat with our judges on the 20th of August to determine the final five. We'll then put it to a public vote via an FF poll to determine the winners. The winners will be announced at the end of August/early September. YAY! What the hell do I get for doing this? Fuckawesomeness, that's what! First Prize: Your choice of either the first season of True Blood or Generation Kill. Yes, you read that right, an entire season on DVD! Second Prize: A Fangtasia T-shirt. Yessum, a lovely sexified Fangtasia tee. Plus, bragging rights for having a fuckawesome story that we all love and squee over. Who the hell is running this gravy train? Please don't contact the judges with questions. If you have any you can PM this account, Zigs or Yoga. We'll do our best to answer any questions, comments, concerns, bribes you may have. (Hey, if you can somehow make AS magically appear in our bedrooms, we're not above a little greasing of the palm. snort) Our prestigious Judges: Please realize that the judges will not be able to Beta for the stories submitted. 'Cause that just wouldn't be fair, dude. Terri Botta: Hello all. Yogagal: Did we mention that we liked lemony things, ladies? Violhaine: Yes, Yoga, I believe we did. S. Meadows: It never hurts to mention something twice, girl. HopeStreet: I concur. Mmm...lemons! You heard the women. Go squeeze some lemons and let the juices flow.
