Author has written 3 stories for Naruto.

Hey yall! I'm a junior college student in Texas, writing fanfics as an attempt to keep my sanity amidst the inherent craziness of my personality, life with roommmates, schoolwork, jobs, research projects, and approaching applications to med schools. Hell, maybe I'll be totally insane by the end of the summer. Then again, it might be worth it if I can get into a good med school (Gig 'Em!) in which case loss of sanity would be a very small sacrifice to make. :) Even better if I can work my way into an AFROTC to get through med school and on my feet once I've graduated. :D

I'm a very amateur writer, haven't written anything non-scientific of my own free will since elementary school (about 10 years), so I realize my stuff may not be the best, but appreciate you reading it and will try to improve myself as I go. Reviews and criticism are always welcome.

Fave Naruto Characters:

Tsunade (my best friend says I'm just as scary when I'm angry)

Kiba & Akamaru (feral qualities, nifty canines, 'nuff said)

Temari (love the attitude)

Tenten (who doesn't love sharp pointy things?)

Naruto (ya just can't keep this kid in the dirt-great inspiration when classes get shit-hard)

Shikamaru (love how he thinks way ahead of everyone else)

Gaara (gotta love him for his attitude and social awkwardness)

Kankuro (cocky attitude is way amusing)

and the rest of the Rookie 9 and Team Gai fall in here about even with each other

I detest Orochimaru and Sasuke in particular, the idea of turning your back on your own people like that is inconceivable and unforgivable in my book. I just keep hoping Sasuke has a beat-down coming from his old team. ;)

Favorite pairings are ones with Kiba, Gaara, and Kankuro, esp Gaara/Sakura, Kankuro/Tenten, and Kiba/Sakura, Kiba/Ino because I like the conflicts of dominants paired with each other. I also like Shika/Temari, just something to be said for her kicking his lazy ass in gear, although I do enjoy to occasional Shino/Temari pairing as well. I don't do yaoi or yuuri, not against it, just my mind doesn't like going that direction.

Other Info about me:

As the child of a vet, most of my theories about human mental capacities and behaviors/interactions stem from animals' interactions. I have this theory about pepole being alpha or not, and so far it has held up to observations. I consider myself and a few of my roommates to be alphas, since we know exactly what we want and how to get it most of the time, don't take any crap off of anyone, prefer to take care of others rather than be taken care of, and are basically slightly stubborn people who don't give up control of our affairs easily.

I'm also a big band nerd and love listening to Aggie Band music, relic of my high school days in a military-style marching band modeled after the Aggie Band. Sometimes I still catch myself falling into step with people around me, and I twitch involuntarily into position whenever I hear the whistles that were our signals, lol.

I come from a family that is probably pretty close to a clan. For us, family is everything and always the center of your life from which everything else radiates. We hold strong concepts of our bonds and for some old friends even consider them as good as blood. If someone messes with one of us, they get everyone else in the bargain, and there's never any question about whether or not to help out another member. As such, the idea of betrayals and turning against your own kin (blood or not) is totally foreign to me.

And here starts the funny quotes and other random crap:

1. Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the
statue.

2. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat
them.

3. Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the
middle of it.

4. Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their
maker.

5. If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

6. If you lend someone 20 and never see that person again, it was
probably worth it.

7. It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply be kind to
others.

8. Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then
you won't have a leg to stand on.

9. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

10. Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

11. The second mouse gets the cheese.

12. When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

13. Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you
live.

14. You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the
world to one person.

15. Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

16. We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are
pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different
colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

17. A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

The way you overcome shyness is to become so wrapped up in something that you forget to be afraid.
-Lady Bird Johnson

Do not ask for an easier life. Ask to be a stronger person.

Happiness doesn't lie in getting what you want; it's in wanting what you have.

You have been weighed. You have been measured. And you have been found wanting. -A Knight's Tale

A woman can forgive a man for the harm he does her...but she can never forgive him for the sacrifices he makes on her account. –W. Somerset Maugham

Love is giving someone the ability to destroy you and trusting them not to

“It’s not always about what you want or need, sometimes it’s about what’s best for everyone else.” –Unknown

High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee
No 412 squadron, RCAF
Killed 11 December 1941

Perchance he for whom this bell tolls may be so ill as that he knows not it
tolls for him; and perchance I may think myself so much better than I am, as
that they who are about me and see my state, may have caused it to toll for me,
and I know not that. The church is catholic, universal, so are all her actions;
all that she does belongs to all. When she baptizes a child, that action
concerns me, for that child is thereby connected to that head which is my head
too, and ingrafted into that body whereof I am a member. And when she buries a
man, that action concerns me. All mankind is of one author and is one volume;
when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into
a better language, and every chapter must be so translated. God employs several
translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war,
some by justice; but God's hand is in every translation, and his hand shall bind
up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie
open to one another. As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon calls not upon
the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come, so this bell calls us all;
but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness.
There was a contention as far as a suit (in which piety and dignity, religion
and estimation, were mingled) which of the religious orders should ring to
prayers first in the morning; and it was determined that they should ring first
that rose earliest. If we understand aright the dignity of this bell that tolls
for our evening prayer, we would be glad to make it ours by rising early, in
that application, that it might be ours as well as his whose indeed it is. The
bell doth toll for him that thinks it doth; and though it intermit again, yet
from that minute that that occasion wrought upon him, he is united to God. Who
casts not up his eye to the sun when it rises? But who takes off his eye from a
comet when that breaks out? Who bends not his ear to any bell which upon any
occasion rings? But who can remove it from that bell which is passing a piece of
himself out of this world? No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a
piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of
thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me because I am
involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
it tolls for thee. . . .
from Meditation 17
by John Donne

And one of my favorite songs from Disney:
I don't know if You can hear me
Or if You're even there
I don't know if You would listen
To a gypsy's prayer
Yes, I know I'm just an outcast
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see Your face and wonder
Were You once an outcast too?

God help the outcasts
Hungry from birth
Show them the mercy
They don't find on earth
God help my people
We look to You still
God help the outcasts
Or nobody will

I ask for wealth
I ask for fame
I ask for glory to shine on my name
I ask for love I can posess
I ask for God and His angels to bless me

I ask for nothing
I can get by
But I know so many
Less lucky than I
Please help my people
The poor and downtrod
I thought we all were
The children of God
God help the outcasts
Children of God

Status Report:

Aside from the random idea that doesn't leave me alone until I write it down, I'm not going to do anything for about the next week. Once finals are over and I move back home, I'll work on cleaning up the stuff I have posted, especially "Fangs and Courage" since I really don't like how it started out.
