He looked away, unable to face her. Of course, he shouldn't feel this way. She was a married woman, and a Senator, and he was a Jedi Knight. They could never work. Majorly AU.

"Am I dead?" It slips out, accidentally. She turns her head towards me, a confused look on her face and tips her head. "Excuse me?" Flashing her an impish grin, I lean casually against the wall.
